(Free-Press-Release.com) April 20, 2010 -- Las Vegas, Nevada (Thursday, April 15, 2010). Cinema owner Johnny Brenden announced today that he will present his Brenden Celebrity Star to Comics Legend Mr. Stan Lee.

“Stan Lee is an entertainment icon,” expressed Johnny Brenden. “For 70 years he has made his mark on popular culture with the creation and co-creation of hundreds of comic book characters including Marvel Comics “Spider-Man™,” “The Incredible Hulk™,” “The Fantastic Four™,” and “Iron Man™”, and a whole score of new superheroes through his company, POW! Entertainment. It is my distinct honor and privilege to be able to present him with the Brenden Celebrity Star for his years of outstanding contributions to movies, television, video games, comic books and other forms of entertainment,” he added.

Stan Lee’s Brenden Celebrity Star presentation will take place on Friday, May 7, 2010, the opening day of the new Paramount Pictures “Iron Man 2” film starring Robert Downey, Jr. which Lee served as an executive producer. The ceremony, to be hosted by Celebrity Journalist Robin Leach, will take place in the Brenden Theatres at the Palms lobby at 7:30 p.m. The Brenden Celebrity Star presentation is co-sponsored by Derrick Taylor’s Comic Oasis. The dedication viewing is free and open to the public.

The Brenden Celebrity Star presentation is part of a Stan Lee Tribute Weekend honoring the comics creator for his seven decades of bringing entertainment to the world. On Thursday, May 6, the N9NE Group will present Iron Man 2 Launch Party at the MOON Nightclub. MOON opens to the public at 10:30 p.m. and will feature appearances by Stan Lee and other celebrity guests. General admission applies.

Stan Lee will introduce and personally welcome fans before select “Iron Man 2” showings at Brenden Theatres throughout the opening weekend.

The weekend wraps with an invited guest tribute reception and dinner hosted by The Walt Disney Studios and featuring Stan Lee’s Time Jumper. Red carpet arrivals begin at 6:00 p.m. with celebrity appearances. Guests will also preview clips from Stan Lee’s documentary “With Great Power – The Stan Lee Story.” Celebrities from all of Lee’s films and creations have been invited to attend this special event. Lee’s POW! Entertainment has a multi-year first look deal with The Walt Disney Company.

Comic Link in association with Desert Wind Comics will present a Stan Lee Retrospective Exhibit featuring a display of Marvel Comics memorabilia valued at $1 million. One of the highest graded original “Tales of Suspense” #39 featuring the first appearance of Iron Man will be on display. The exhibit will be open to the general public during select hours throughout the weekend.

While admission to certain events will not be open to the general public, a select number of three day VIP passes have been provided to the Stars Among the Angels non-profit organization supporting foster children and are available through auction at http://starsamongtheangelsonlineauction.afrogs.org/. Winning bidders will have the opportunity to attend special meet and greet and private events with Lee. Hotel accommodations and airfare are not included. Bidding on the VIP passes will end May 1, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. PST.
