Jordan Pugh Pushing Upward Going Higher™ Award Is Now In The Record Books

Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 15, 2012 -- Dallas, TX- Carolina Panthers DB Jordan Pugh, a former student of Plano West High School and Texas A&M Alumni introduced his first annual award and presented to Matt Owoseni at the Plano West Football Banquet held on Saturday January 21, 2012.

The Jordan Pugh Pushing Upward, Going Higher ™ Award is designed to honor, encourage, and bring attention to the student-athlete who exhibits passion, performance, and purpose, the 3 building blocks in which Jordan has displayed throughout his athletic career. “I created the Jordan Pugh Pushing Upward, Going Higher Award to show my appreciation and the respect I have for Coach Mike Hughes and the Plano West Football Program. I also wanted to recognize and give back to a student on the team who continually demonstrates hard work on the field and off the field; a team leader who displays athletic passion, community purpose, and academic performance.”

Matt Owoseni, a senior and Defensive Back for Plano West was the the first recipient to receive the award at this year’s annual football banquet. “Owonseni has shown great work ethic, outstanding character, and has proven to be a team player” says Plano West head coach, Mike Hughs.
