JOSIA'S CHORAL WORK WILL BE PERFORMED BY RENOWNED AMERICAN COMPOSER AND CONDUCTOR ERIC WHITACRE
ROME, ITALY, November 25, 2011 -- The last choral work composed by the multi-awarded Michele Josia, will be performed by the renowned American composer and conductor Eric Whitacre.

Eric Whitacre was co-author together with Hans Zimmer, of the film music of the last episode of "THE PIRATES OF CARIBBEAN". The concert is a unique event which will take place in Rome, at the S. Paolo within the walls' church, on December 18, 2011, at 18.30. Josia says "I feel honored to be the first young Italian composer ever performed by Whitacre, in his first Italian tour; it’s a great privilege to be performed by him and to work with the Città di Roma's choir."
The Città di Roma's choir, one of the best Italian choir often used by Ennio Morricone for his movies, will be the "instrument" under Whitacre's hands.
Michele Josia is a multi-talented film composer and choir conductor. He won several international awards, as a choir conductor, and his choral works can regularly be heard in important international competitions and concert halls in Europe. He lives between Rome and Ljubljana and continues to conduct and to write concert music, as well as composing music for film and television.
