Doodle Publishers Limited, publishers of The Mail, is an independent press house in Ghana. Their mission is to promote democracy in Ghana through objective and creative journalism which will inform, entertain and educate.
The Mail is a publication of Doodle Publications Ghana Limited. Re-launched on the 6th of April 2009, The Mail (formerly the Accra Daily Mail) started as a bi-weekly appearing on our news stands on Mondays and Fridays and has a nationwide circulation of over 15,000 a day. The Mail now has more pages, colours and provides political, social and entertainment news. This new feature of The Mail has made it more renowned in Ghana as it airlifts newspapers to all corners of Ghana. The Ghanaian media is one of the most successful on the continent. This is so because of the outstanding news, reports and articles covered by prolific writers from The Mail such as Mr. A. Harruna Attah. The print media in Ghana has been dominated for many years by two state-owned newspapers mainly the Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times, but the landscape has changed with innovative, privately-owned publications such as The Mail.
The Managing Editor of this organization, Mr. Abdul Rahman Harruna Attah, is also the President of The International P.E.N-A World Association of Writers, Ghana. He has played a key role in solidifying Ghana’s democracy, and until recently remained the Editor of The Mail. Abdul R. H. Attah’s voice remains a highly esteemed one in the Ghanaian media.
In order to achieve its objective of promoting democracy through objective and creative journalism, this media house publishes newspapers which cover a wide range of news, from business and social stories to political and entertainment news. The Mail is a rapidly growing newspaper with each month seeing increased circulation and improved content.
