http://www.nyabj.org/ Hue-Man Bookstore and the New York Association of Black Journalists (NYABJ) welcomed journalism legend Belva Davis to New York on Monday, February 21, 2011 as she celebrated the publication of her new memoir "Never in My Wildest Dreams: A Black Woman's Life in Journalism." Friends, family, fellow journalists and supporters heard Davis, the first African American woman television news reporter on the West Coast, discuss highlights and "lowlights" from her 43 year career and read excerpts from her new book at the two-part event which began at Harlem’s Hue-Man bookstore. The festivities continued with a reception and networking at nearby Chocolat restaurant / lounge.
