Judge George Steeh ruled that the individual mandate of Obama Care is Constitutional under the Commerce Clause.
Judge Steeh agreed with the defendant that a citizen choosing not to engage in commerce represents a price of $0.00 and that is a choice showing one engaged in economic activity. This is extreme judicial activism and any student in any university would receive a "F" for such a ludicrous argument. Commerce itself is defined as the exchange of goods and services between two or more parties taking place. His choosing to accept this argument shows his contempt for the Constitution and far left approach to judicial activism.
This far reaching decision will have a major impact on American liberties if left to stand. Congress could argue, for example, that you choosing not to give to a charity is a commerce activity and therefore they have the right to demand you give 5 percent of your income or receive a fine.
