A 6 minute walk test with O2-Gap calculation and desaturation area index is also built-in to the device. Other diagnostic oximetry features the device has are actigraph & step-counter accelerometer utilization to determine patient position during sleep analysis & sleep disorder detection, an events recording system, a walked-step count, movement and VMU.

The diagnostic parameters are shown directly on the easy-to-handle backlit touchscreen display with intuitive icons (min, max, mean SpO2 and Pulse Rate, Δ Index, T90, T89, T88, T5, ODI, NOD, Desaturation Area, etc). The device runs on rechargeable high capacity lithium batteries. The innovative detachable flowmeter ensures sturdy and durable connection. Every trial is recorded and stored in a massive user-friendly database patient memory with powerful search, visualization and printing functions.

The SpiroDoc can be set up for different intended uses. There is a dual-modes function that switches between patient monitoring and doctor-use accordingly. Additional features the device utilizes are an advanced parameter setting for pulmonologists, simplified general practitioner functioning with essential report for screening purposes, and one-key device activation for home-care patient monitoring. Also, the SpiroDoc is equipped with Telemedicine technology, allowing for PC online and Bluetooth connectivity
