The Kansas City Sport & Social Club (“KCSSC”), Kansas City’s premiere adult sports provider in Midtown, has now launched its latest website portal. Version 4.0 of the site allows for users to not only register online, but to easily communicate with each other through the site. Spring Leagues are forming now. The system will now show player profiles, and allow captains to easily add players to current rosters. The Site also has chat boards for leagues allowing teams to talk to each other to grab subs, gloat over wins, or just socialize. Most importantly the site creates a pool of free agents that want to participate, but are not currently on a team. Captains can now contact these free agents if they need additional players for their teams, or just need a sub for one night. This feature gives players new to the area, or searching for a new team, an additional way to participate.

League information will be more readily available than ever before. The new site now features league rules, registration costs, and start dates, schedules, current standings, photogalleries and more! KCSSC’s new league structure allows players to participate for between $35 and $40 for most leagues. The league also attempts to make up all rainouts, while making sure teams only play games on the nights for which they register. The hope is to make leagues in Midtown affordable so that players can enjoy leagues close to where they live. Some leagues charge over $60 per person to play kickball.

KCSSC attempts to allow teams to play on a set night and leave the rest of the week open for other activities. Some leagues have teams play during the week, then play tournaments on weekends. This would only happen at KCSSC in case of an abundance of rainouts.

Spring sports begin play in early April. Teams can sign up for leagues including kickball, softball, dodgeball and flag football. Teams can register online at www.Kansas CitySportandSocialclub.com. Participants can register a team, or they can sign up as a small group or free agent. KCSSC welcomes corporate teams and alumni groups. These leagues encourage players to get the most out of life through competition and networking.

The Kansas City Sport & Social Club was founded in 2004 to promote recreational sports leagues and social events for Kansas City’s young professionals. KCSSC now boasts over 3,000 members. Most KCSSC sports offered are co-ed, including: kickball, softball, dodgeball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee. KCSSC also offers corporate leagues for the local law firms, and advertising agencies.

When: Registration for spring leagues closes in early April, or when leagues reach capacity. Most leagues consist of six weeks of regular season play and two weeks of playoffs. Participants must be at least 21 years old to participate.
