KayKhosoft's new iPhone App, iFlashcard A to Z, teaches & quizes Pre-Schoolers on the alphabet

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 22, 2009 -- KayKhosoft has developed a flash card app that includes three different exercises with colorful graphics and sound for the beginning learner.

Many flash card apps are just that – one dimensional flash cards that lose their appeal all too soon. KhaKhosoft has included additional exercises to challenge the child. The first exercise presents the flash cards sequentially, the second presents them randomly, and the third tests letter recognition with a quiz. A brief description of each exercise follows:

This is a straight forward flash card exercise that displays each card sequentially to the child. The exercise displays each card forward or backward based on swiping the screen. It says the letter name and pictured object for the child to repeat.

Shuffle

This exercise presents the child with more of a challenge. Cards are presented in random order by swiping the screen forward or backward. Again, it will sound the letter name and pictured object.

Pick-a-Letter

This exercise presents a quiz of 10 multiple-choice cards to test letter recognition. The child can not memorize the quiz as cards in the quiz are generated randomly.

Each card is presented with a picture and the name of the picture with a blank space for the first letter. The child is given 3 multiple choice letters to complete the name of the picture. Once the correct letter is touched, the letter name and pictured object is provided verbally.

A score is maintained and presented at the end of the quiz.
