The Dow Jones industrial average (INDU) added 6 points, or 0.1%; the S&P 500 (SPX) fell 2 points, or 0.2%; and the Nasdaq (COMP) edged down 8 points, or 0.3%, in midday trading.”

“While gains have been modest in recent sessions,” Ellis continued, “stocks are poised to end the week in positive territory and are on track to post double-digit gains for the year.”
