Kennebunkport Bed and Breakfast Thanks Our Vets

The Maine Stay Inn and Cottages has chosen to celebrate Veterans’ Day in a very special way this year – by offering a few free rooms to veterans. Our Kennebunkport bed and breakfast inn has joined forces with over 850 inns across the country to share our gratitude for those who have served this great nation. We set aside a handful of rooms for the night of November 10, 2010 so that veterans with valid military ID could enjoy a stay at our Maine bed and breakfast at no charge. The response was astounding! In less than twelve hours after being listed on http://www.bnbsforvets.org/, the Maine Stay had reserved all of its allocated rooms.

This program was founded by innkeeper Kathleen Panek of the Gillum House in Shinnston, WV, and in 2009 was expanded by the West Virginia Bed and Breakfast Association. This year’s program has exploded, covering 49 states and 8 countries, and the Maine Stay is proud to be among them!
