Kevin Kittleson Releases New EP "Apollo Dreaming"

Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 17, 2012 -- Minnesota indie songwriter Kevin Kittleson has released his first album “Apollo Dreaming” on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify just before Valentines Day 2012. Kevin got his start with Stone Pony back in 1981 playing bars around rural western Wisconsin. While serving in the military, he was able to expand his horizons by playing in Japan and Australia.

“Apollo Dreaming” is a collection of six easy listening acoustic folk/rock songs that he wrote and performed entirely by himself. One of the tracks, “Queen of Dreams” has been entered in a contest sponsored by the Minneapolis Star Tribune with a chance to perform mainstage at First Avenue - the venue Prince made famous in his film “Purple Rain”. The winner will also be featured at SXSW in Austin, TX.

Kevin would like to thank some former band members Ron Amundson, Louis Yray, and Gary Dahl for helping him hone his songwriting while playing with Stone Pony. “There was a girl I dated in high school that told me I would never learn to sing or play guitar. I’d like to thank her for pushing me to prove her wrong,” he said. “I remember attending a class reunion and having the DJ put on a song I’d written and performed.
