Khouzam Named Management Partner of Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP

Columbus, Ohio, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 24, 2011 -- Columbus, OH – April 18, 2011 – Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Marie-Joëlle C. Khouzam as its new Management Partner. The firm was managed for the past 11 years by Robert B. Barnett, Jr. The firm’s executive committee also includes attorneys Bryan K. Hogue and Michael A. Smith, and Legal Administrator Lori L. Muetzel.

Khouzam currently serves as Carlile Patchen & Murphy’s Marketing Partner and chairs the Marketing Committee. As the head of the firm’s Employment Law group, Khouzam’s practice consists of advising and defending clients ranging from small to multi-state businesses, non-profits, municipalities, and individuals involved in non-compete disputes. She also serves as the legislatively appointed City Attorney for Grandview Heights.

Khouzam is active in several organizations, including the Ohio Management Lawyers Association, the Ohio Municipal Attorneys’ Association, the Grandview Area Chamber, Children’s Hunger Alliance and St. Stephen’s Community House. She is also involved in the Columbus, Ohio State, and American Bar Associations, and has held several leadership positions at the Columbus Bar Association. She has been recognized for professional achievements with the AV-Preeminent attorney rating by Martindale Hubbell, is listed in Best Lawyers and Ohio Super Lawyers, and was named a 2009 Most Powerful & Influential Woman by the Ohio Diversity Council and a 2008 Northwest Rotary Woman of the Year.
Khouzam is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law and Bowling Green State University.
