Kim Wheeling adorned in slacks, shirt, and slippers, stands in her kitchen over the stove after a long work day. Not only is she an information technology executive but a wife and soccer mom of three with a large candle order from Texas to prepare for shipment in the morning.

Khreativ Soy Kandles LLC was founded in 2009 and blossomed from a leisurely pastime into a full-fledged business venture. From intimate, in-home parties to a busy online store and licensing agreements KSK is quickly building a name in the candle world. Success for KSK has come from dedicated, word of mouth clients who appreciate organic soy candles that have fragrant aromas and serve as an aromatherapy medium. The candles are made from only the best quality “Made in America” soybeans and essential oil blends which provide a stronger fragrance than your average candle without even burning the wick.

Kim explains her goal for each candle and customer, “I want people to talk about how soothing KSK fragrances are and how comparable the scents are to the actual flower, fruit, or dessert. I also want them to experience the joy of taking the fragrance and using pure soy infused with coconut oil to make your hands and feet feel like velvet”. Premium soy candle wax can be used as a body moisturizer which is a selling point in each of Kim’s presentations.

As a busy mom of three, Kim realizes that her candles will provide aromatherapy and create a “special moment” for other women who are multi-taskers, high achievers and corporate driven, giving them an oasis of sorts to relax and de-stress. Her home parties are usually filled with women tussling over her most popular scents; Be Relaxed and Spa Day. The scents are infused with Eucalyptus and Peppermint Oils as well as Lemongrass, Patchouli, Black Currant and Sugar Cane respectively.

Khreativ Soy Kandles “green” initiative is also popular among her patrons as they know that buying smart today helps build better businesses for tomorrow. As for building her business, Kim has collaborated with The Cup Gourmet in Atlanta to develop three cupcake flavored candles for sale in the café. Victor Ledbetter, owner of The Cup says, “I was just impressed that Kim could bring out the essence of each flavor in my candles. The Red Velvet actually smells like a fresh, out-of the oven Red Velvet cupcakes.”
