Kidz Toyz, a New York-based toy company, brought
some holiday cheer to the children of Freedom House on December 17th, donating wrapped gifts
and also participating in holiday-themed craft activities.
Freedom House is a program of Barrier Free Living, a non-profit organization that provides
services to individuals and families struggling with disabilities.
Scott Spiegel, CEO of Kidz Toyz, took part in the holiday arts and crafts activity, which drew
over twenty children, aged 5-15."At Kidz Toyz, it's important that we are giving back to the children of the community each and
every day. There is something incredibly special about seeing a smile on a child's face when they
receive a gift during the holiday season,
said Mr. Spiegel.
The event lasted over an hour, with all of the children coming away from the activity with bright
smiles on their faces, eager to open their gifts donated by Kidz Toyz.
Mr. Spiegel had this to say about his visit to Freedom House, œOur visit to Freedom House
brought smiles to many children's faces, and that makes all the difference.
At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Spiegel was also treated to a tour of the shelter, including
visiting offices, the game room, kitchen and childcare room, by a member of the childcare staff
at Freedom House.Since 1995, Kidz Toyz, Inc. has been an innovator of quality toys that are safe, fun and
