Tracie Collins, Executive Producer and CEO of Kiss the Curves, LLC donates hundreds of jeans to young plus-size women in homeless shelters and domestic violence facilities

New York, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 1, 2010 -- Executive Producer and CEO, Tracie Collins took time out from the production stages of her highly anticipated, Kiss the Curves – Hollywood Kiss 2011, a three day fashion extravaganza March 18-20, 2011 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, to donate hundreds of plus-size designer jeans to select community organizations.

The San Francisco native donated brand new Levi’s jeans from their new plus-size line Curve ID to women housed at Covenant House Oakland, Covenant House New York, Good Shepherd Shelter, MISSSEY, Inc. and the Dream Center. These non-profit organizations typically deal with rehabilitating and empowering young women and children who have suffered sexual exploitation, homelessness, substance and domestic abuse cases. These organizations will also receive podium recognition on Saturday, March 19, 2011 during the women’s runway show festivities.

“We believe it is important to give back to community organizations that assist in shaping the lives of our future. These organizations provide great services to young people who have faced some of the most heart wrenching tragedies imaginable. Everyone deserves the same opportunities in life regardless of what you look like or what you have been through. It would behoove everyone to get involved because this is the next generation,” said Collins.

The jeans were delivered to each organization and are sure to provide a smile to each recipient. “We are extremely grateful for this donation and support! We have so many women who come here to see their life restored; and with the heart change comes physical change. This kind of donation helps boost self-esteem and create an even more positive image,” said Michelle Ray of the Dream Center.
