Although holidays are meant to be enjoyed, most of the time, people end up more exhausted and stressed out. All the shopping, gift-giving and partying can be quite harsh to your body. Essential oils like Lavender and Chamomile can help you calm down and relax. Use an essential oil burner or add a few drops to your bath in order to relax after a day’s shopping.
Other essential oils that can help you de-stress are Basil Clary Sage and Peppermint. Here are some essential oils combinations that can help you get through the holiday season.
To re-energize for post-Christmas parties and post-Christmas shopping, prepare a combination of Lavender, Bergamot, Clove and Rose.
A simple whiff of Peppermint Essential Oils as well as Lemon can also re-energize you.
If you want to feel romantic for that New Year’s Eve date, mix together Jasmine, Patchouli, Lemon and Lavender. You can also go for Mandarin, Sandalwood and Ylang-Ylang.
A few drops of Vanilla or Lavender can also leave you feeling refreshed even after hours and hours of shopping.
Mix Bergamot, German or Roman Chamomile, Patchouli or Vetiver with a carrier oil such as Sweet Almond or Jojoba and then put this in your bath. This helps to moisturize dry skin while soothing your nerves.
These natural helpers are sure to get you in the mood again. Keep in mind, however, that these essential oils can only do so much so, if you feel extremely tired, it is never wrong to ask for help from someone.
