Klein Resigns; Peter McDonald Comes Out of Retirement to Become SuperMedia Interim CEO

Scott Klein’s resignation leaves SuperMedia without the leader who guided the company during its bankruptcy and transformation. Former R.H. Donnelley president and COO McDonald named replacement.

Scott Klein, who took over Idearc Media (now SuperMedia) (Dallas) when it was $9 billion in debt, holding off its creditors and facing the resignation of two CEOs within five months in 2008, has resigned, effective immediately. Klein, who led Idearc through its bankruptcy and transformation into a media company renamed SuperMedia, will be replaced by Peter McDonald, who retired as R.H. Donnelley’s president and chief operating officer in 2008.
