KRYSTA’S KINGDOM WINS BEST CHILDREN’S SERIES

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 25, 2009 -- ORLANDO – Sept. 25, 2009 – Krysta’s Kingdom is the winner of the best children’s series Crystal Reel Award from the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association (FMPTA).

Krysta’s Kingdom, produced by Florida-based Electric Bear Studios, won awards for best children’s program, best editing and best director - Sam Siragusa; best director of photography – John O’Hara; and best music composer – Dan Nowicki.

“We have been fortunate to work with such an amazing cast and crew for Krysta’s Kingdom,” said Barbara Siragusa, vice president, Electric Bear Studios. “These people have helped bring our vision of a fun, educational children’s series to life, and winning these awards reaffirms that. Krysta’s Kingdom premiered on Kids and Teens Television (KTV) on Sept. 12 and can be aired each Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The premise for Krysta’s Kingdom is the main character Krysta, played by Britany Duchaine, is stranded on a magical, deserted island when Milo the hummingbird pops her hot air balloon. When she begins exploring the island she meets many friends, including Rudy the rubber duck, a magic mirror, and Lady Liz the lady bug.

Not only is the television series designed to be educational for viewers, but also the Web site features many resources for children and parents alike, including the Book Nook, a lab, spelling quizzes, cooking tips, and more.
