Kurvacious Debuts Their New TV Commercial with All Eyes on Curves

Kurvacious, a plus-size retail store that carries such designer labels as IGIGI, Jibri and Kiyonna, made their fashions come alive at their retail location in Nanuet, NY last weekend. Plus-size models were selected from an open casting to participate in the new commercial that included live mannequins and shopping dramatization.

Models that were chosen for the commercial included veterans like petite plus model, Jeannie Ferguson, who has walked in highly acclaimed runway shows such as Full Figured Fashion Week (FFFWeek) and BET’s Rip the Runway to first time aspiring models like Penee Yzaguirre-Banks who has never modeled professionally. Behind the scenes footage of the commercial filming and model interviews were conducted by Belle-Noir Magazine.

Kurvacious owner, LaTeffaney Scott was pleased with the final cut as she watched the fully edited commercial produced by SR Video Pictures. “What we have done is incorporate plus-size models of all shapes and sizes into a thirty second commercial that is positive, fun, and fashionable. It is inviting and this commercial is for every curvy woman who has longed for ads on mainstream television channels that are specifically for us,” said Scott.

Kurvacious’ commercial will be shown locally in Nanuet, NY on Cablevision channels such as BET, Centric, E!, News 12, SOAP,TLC, TV Land, VH1, The Wedding Channel, and WE. People within the counties of Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Orange will also get a chance to see it on their local listings.
