LA Investment Capital to cease all new real estate equity investments for 2010.

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 24, 2010 -- With The commercial real estate market not expected to recover this year, with vacancy rates set to rise and rents forecast to fall, the Beverly Hills based LA Investment Capital will cease all new real estate ventures citing general lack of interest from investors to invest in pooled real estate equity funds, said LA Investment Capital President on Tuesday.

With no meaningful recovery is expected in the commercial real estate market before 2011, topped with concerns about unemployment, investor confidence levels for real estate investments are near historic lows and other economic conditions, LA Investment Capital has concluded it will close the small real estate equity fund to new ventures.

With office sector vacancy rates expected to rise to 17.6 percent later this year from its 16.3 percent during last quarter of 2009, and rents expected to decline another 7.2 percent this year, LA Investment Capital felt that any real estate ventures at this time would be considered "long-term" investments, something the group and its investors are not currently looking for.

Mr. Muehler went on to say, "This decision in no way impacts current ventures or investors associated with the Real Estate Equity Fund now, it simply means we are essentially happy with what we have now, and can only support what is on our plate now. Maybe in 2011, the market place will be right for additional ventures, just not at this time."
