Lady Lions Soccer Set To Roar Again, Private Schools Palm Beach Get Competitive

The King's Academy Lady Lions soccer team will be competing to return to the State Final Four during the 2009-2010 season.

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 3, 2009 -- Among private schools Palm Beach, The King’s Academy Girls’ Soccer team has been a “force to be reckoned with” for past few years. They’ve even sent some girls on to division 1 women’s soccer programs at the NCAA level.

The Varsity Girls Soccer team finished the 2008-2009 season with an undefeated District record of 12-0 and overall record of 22- 4. Team accomplishments include a first place finish in the Masters Tournament and outstanding showing at the Adidas Classic in Wellington. Forward Andrea Jefferson led the team in scoring with 29 goals with strong midfielders Gilda Doria and Stephanie Czajkowski leading the attack. The Lady Lions are currently ranked as one of the top 10 2A soccer teams in Florida, won three regional games advancing to the State Final Four in Tampa, FL.

The King’s Academy Girls Soccer team will be competing in District 12-2A in the 2009-2010 season. The Lady Lions will be coached by Glenn Martin. They will be returning starters: Gilda Doria (Sr., MF); Andrea Jefferson (Sr., D); Stephanie Czajkowski (Sr., MF); Jennifer Collins (Sr., MF); Danielle Hurme (So., F); Phelan Johnson (So., MF); Stephanie Reiter (Sr., MF); Katie Hanlon (Jr., D); Bailey Mudrick (So., D); Rachel Spell (8th, GK); Alex Price (8th, D.). Also returning reserve players: Monique Belanger (So., F); Annie Blackwood (Jr., F); Casey Detter (So., D); Monike Meskyte (Jr., D/F); Kristy Louissaint (Sr., GK).

The newest additions to the Lady Lions Soccer team include: Sarah Collins (8th, MF/D); Jordan Najmabadi (8th, D/MF); Jerusha Pervenecki (So., MF).

The girls won their first game of the 2009 season yesterday against Berean Christian, 12-0. Be sure to follow them, as they will be competing to return to the State Final Four.

The King’s Academy is a nationally recognized private Christian school serving approximately 1,200 students from preschool through twelfth grade and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Association of Christian Schools International, and the Florida Association of Christian Schools.
