FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) March 17, 2010 --written by: Bobby Lewis of Coldwell Banker
As of March 15th, 2010 only 691 single family homes remain on the market in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. This is the lowest total of Lake Havasu homes for salen recent memory and appears likely to fall further because construction of new homes is practically non-existent and over 100 homes are selling each month. The numbers simply tell the story…Lake Havasu City is down to a 6-7 month supply of homes on the market and that number is falling. To put this into proper perspective the supply of homes on the market in Lake Havasu reached 15+ months at the peak of the real estate collapse with well over 1000 homes on the market and far fewer selling each month than are now. Things are obviously getting much better. It’s only a matter of time before housing prices undoubtedly will rise again as demand will eventually out pace supply in the future, just like it has so many times before. These just might be the times people talk about with their children and grand children in the future and say, "I remember when homes were cheap." Right now MANY families are buying homes for 50%-70% off what they sold for just a few years ago in Lake Havasu. Can it get much better than that for a Lake Havasu home buyer?
Located in the heart of the uniquely beautiful region known as Arizona’s West Coast, Lake Havasu real estate looks out on some of the best views in a state that’s already well-known for its spectacular scenery. A region that combines the majestic panoramas of the desert with the refreshing blue waters of the Colorado River, the Lake Havasu City area offers an array of outdoor recreational options.
Ever since Lake Havasu City was established on the shores of Lake Havasu in the 60s and 70s, the lifestyle here has always been geared towards enjoying the outdoors. With so much to see and do in the area, it doesn’t come as a surprise. Lake Havasu City lies surrounded by the Warm Springs Wilderness Area, the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, and the Mohave Mountains. California is just across the river, as is the Mojave National Preserve. Laughlin, NV is just an hour to the north and Parker, AZ is 30-40 minutes south.
Formed by the impoundment of the Colorado River by the Parker Dam, Lake Havasu has a surface area of 19,300 acres. The lake is a favorite venue for fishing and boating in the region and attracts around 3.5 million visitors a year. Whether you enjoy fishing for bass, water skiing, swimming, and so on, you can enjoy everything that the lake has to offer all year round.
