Dr. Lasika Seneviratne holds the singular honor of serving as Chief of Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles.
Dr. Seneviratne is a part of The Los Angeles Cancer Network, a private practice specializing in Hematology and Oncology with offices in Glendale and Downtown Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Cancer Network has been serving cancer patients and their families in Southern California for over 30 years.
Dr. Seneviratne is a graduate of the University of Colombo, Faculty of Medicine, Sri Lanka, 1992 and completed the Residency and Fellowship programs in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology at The University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Seneviratne was a Research Fellow in Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering at the University of San Francisco Medical Center.
Dr. Seneviratne served the Los Angeles Medical Community teaching at The University of Southern California. In 2003, Dr. Seneviratne entered private practice and joined the Los Angeles Hematology/Oncology Medical Group. The practice, having grown to 4 locations serving patients in downtown Los Angeles and Glendale, was renamed The Los Angeles Cancer Network, and remains a premiere cancer care practice and an icon in the medical community for excellence in patient care.
Dr. Seneviratne is widely published in numerous peer journals in the field of Hematology and Oncology, including The American Society of Clinical Oncology, Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome and Journal of the American Society of Hematology.
