NEW YORK, December 31, 2010 Knesset Pictures, LLC and Emilio Roso will showcase the real life story of the rise and fall of the Israeli Mafia in New York City. The full feature documentary, in post production, features live interviews with Eitan Chaya, the godfather and brains of the Israeli Mafia and the FBI informant, Roman Gonen. Mr. Roso put his life in danger and traveled to Israel to meet with Eitan Chaya and several others involved in this world renowned, massive crime organization. With the assistance and cooperation of the FBI, Witness Protection Program and the New York District Attorney’s office, secluded interviews were conducted in various locations around the country with Romen Gonen, the man responsible for bringing the entire mafia to its’ knees.

Written, Directed and Produced by Emilio Roso, this documentary chronologically displays the inner workings of this organization, from its inception to its end. The film also gives an in-depth look at the lives of Eitan Chaya , Johnny Aitias, and Roman Gonen.

ABOUT EMILIO ROSO

Israeli native, Emilio Roso, was born to a Moroccan father and an Italian mother. He moved to New York from Israel at the age of 21 to pursue an acting career. He served three years in the Israeli Army after graduation from high school.

Emilio studied acting at the famed Actors Studio in NYC and it was not long before film makers noticed him. Appearing in over fifteen feature films and shorts, Emilio has also guest starred on Young and the Restless, Passions, Mad Men, and the Unit. He has performed in eight theater productions.

He formally trained with the following:
Stanislavski, Strasberg Technique- Actor's Conservatory, Strasberg Technique - under Suzan Perez, Improvisation- under Michael Backet, Body Movement & Comedy- under Stuart Solomon, The Method Actor- under Rene Pereira. Emilio is fluent in English, Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, Italian, French and Latin.

Coproducing this film are Gadi Erel and Nicky Bem. The Executive Producer on this film is Hani Mizrahi and the Associate Producers are Valerie Renee’ Campbell, Amir Barda, and Ilya Gorvatsky. The Director of Cinematography is Kris Kardash. Director of Public Relations is Linda Singh.

ABOUT THE FILM

Last Man Standing is a documentary based on FBI files on the rise and fall of the Israeli Mafia in New York City with live interviews with the Godfather and Informant. Eitan Chaya, learned early that a life of crime was his escape from poverty in Israel. At 17, he was convicted of a murder he did not commit and served 6 yrs of the original life sentence, then headed to NYC and started a massive crime organization that spanned several countries entailing contract killing, heroine trafficking, money laundering and loan sharking. The organization, accomplished in 20 years what took others 50, at the pinnacle of their reign was obliterated by Informant Roman Gonan, resulting in arrests of 35 criminals including the top four leaders.
