Last Minute Labor Day Idea!

Waterville Valley, NH- Waterville Valley Resort is staging an End of Summer Bash & Fireworks for families on Sunday, September 6 from noon to 9 p.m. The day includes free outdoor concerts, family and kid’s games, pie-eating contest, and the annual charity Duck Race on Snow’s Brook, with duck proceeds to benefit the New Hampshire Humane Society. The owners of the fastest three ducks win cash prizes, and the final duck across the finish line wins something quacky. The New Hampshire Humane Society will set up a pet station in Town Square with some of their finest adoptable animals. The day ends with fireworks over Corcoran’s Pond, sponsored by the Town Square Merchants and Atlas Fireworks.

Plenty more fun is scheduled for the entire Labor Day weekend, including Bonfire & S’mores, Curious George Story Time, Mr. Phil’s Magic Show, free Saturday night twilight concert, pond-side church services, and a live animal show in the Town Square.

Special lodging packages for the End of Summer Bash include a two-night stay over the weekend, sparklers, and a racing duck for each person, and all the Summer Unlimited Activities. Package prices start at $46 per person per night based on quad-occupancy. Visitors should ask for the “add a night” special when making reservations.
