Last Night a DJ Saved My Life

In the midst of the dull Atlanta streets lurks certain death, a gross arrest of boredom, and the inescapable lackluster party but last night a DJ saved my life. His decadent sounds of blood pumping; mind-numbing euphoric energy was love at first sound! I get butterflies when I hear him play, a killer he must be to cause such fear and excitement; the excitement of being there and the fear that it will end. Then I must be a sadist, no a masochist to wait in the dark for him to slaughter the night, to kill it. If caught by him it will be painless, in actuality it is a lethal injection of pure exotic sinful pleasure. I’m talking about DJ Kash “Da Club Killa “.

Kash is one of ATL’s hottest DJs and quickly becoming a driving force in the club scene. "When I walk into the room, step on the stage, and perform, the people become a testament of what I do" He has worked with some of the music industry’s best without intimidation and not needing the approbation of others but always paying homage to those who have paved the way with one thing in mind; “Don’t wish things were easier; be better and it will be easier and don’t wish for less problems, hone your skills and you won’t have any.” He knows how to bring a crowd of shy ladies to the dance floor (that would ordinarily be holding up the walls), sweat out a perm, have the reserved lose their reservation singing the hooks and begging for more.

Hotlanta is not what it used to be, it’s better. If you attended Opera in Atlanta during the Memorial weekend you know why he’s my favorite DJ. DJ Kash is the reason I venture out into the night, seeking that fix! His voice carries through the club like an exhale I’ve been waiting to release as he invokes my body to move on the dance floor. “Ladies I see you” he calls out. I’m not sure it’s me he sees but I accept the acknowledgement and as I look around the room so do all the other ladies. That recognition also elates the sea of delicious men in the club to see me too, yes Atlanta is alive. DJ Kash doesn’t have to remind us why we all ventured out into the night but he does, “what we doing tonight? What we doing tonight?” he shouts. “We partying tonight” the crowd shouts back in confirmation and willingness to be slaughtered. I’m telling you that a killa is on the loose, DJ Kash “Da Club Killa” and last night he saved my life!
