Later Days Launches 2011 with Homecoming Show

Fort Myers, Florida, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 29, 2010 -- After over one year, Naples’ natives and local celebrities Later Days have announced a homecoming concert to launch the new year. These hometown heroes have been dubbed “the Best Unsigned Band in the Country” and “Breakout Star” by KIISFM of Los Angeles. The concert will take place at Cornerstone United Methodist Church on January 1st, 2011. The concert begins at 6:00PM and completing the line-up will be local bands Between the Two of Us, Common Ground, and Us vs. Them.

In 2010, Later Days won KIISFM’s Breakout Star competition, winning the opportunity to play The Village Stage at Wango Tango, a large music event held annually in Los Angeles featuring artists such as Usher, B.o.B., Justin Bieber, and David Guetta. Later Days has also played the acclaimed Warped Tour and shows with bands including Forever The Sickest Kids, Underoath, HelloGoodbye, AFI, Paramore, Gym Class Heroes, Hawthorne Heights, Unwritten Law, Sum-41, and No Address. The band members include frontman and guitarist Mike Wassef, lead guitarist John Faratzis, bassist Paul Martello, and drummer Derrick “D-Rock” Peltz. Since the band’s move to Calabasas, California; they have had the opportunity to play such esteemed establishments as The Roxy, Whisky-A- Go-Go, and the Troubadour.

In regards to the upcoming show, Later Days’ drummer, Derrick “D-Rock” Peltz, couldn’t be more excited to be playing in their hometown saying “It’s been over a year since we have played a home town show, but we love our home town as much as they love us. Although it may seem long enough to be forgotten, I'm sure they are more anxious then ever for a home time Later Days show."
