Latino author with apocalyptic vision for U.S. interviewed on CNN TV

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 3, 2011 -- LOS ANGELES – CNN en Español television anchor Juan Carlos Lopez interviewed Raul Ramos y Sanchez, the award-winning author of AMERICA LIBRE and HOUSE DIVIDED, on DirectoUSA, a one-hour news show broadcast nationally Monday through Friday at 6pm ET from Washington DC.

During the segment aired on February 23, 2011 Lopez asked the author about the controversial premise of his books and their central character.

“The story centers on Manolo Suarez and his family,” replied Ramos. “The time is the near-future, a time when many social trends we are seeing now have gotten much worse. During the course of the story, Mano changes from a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army to the point where, by the end of the first book, America Libre, Manolo has been transformed from a loyal third-generation citizen who barely speaks Spanish to a rebel with the goal of creating a Latino nation within the borders of the United States. How that type of transformation could happen is the social theme that is the foundation of the books.”
