In celebration of the creation of The Black Sheep Collective, a collaborative group of women artists, founded in March of this year, The Black Sheep Pub will host literary readings and art presentations by members of the TBS Collective.
The groups first meeting was held at the home of visual artist Colleen Hammond in Moorestown, New Jersey. After meeting at different members’ homes, the group found a permanent meeting place at The Black Sheep Pub in Center City Philadelphia.
Members of the group are writers Alicia Askenase, Amelia Craigen, Shannon McGill, Ethel Rackin and Hassen Saker. Visual artists include Marybeth Chew, Colleen Hammond and Heather Saker.
Save the date, Sunday, September 18 at 1:00 and come meet the artists at their very first event which will consist of literary readings and a display of original art pieces. Enjoy a delicious Irish-style brunch during the program.
The Black sheep Collective is a group of women artists and writers from the metropolitan area who support, collaborate and promote their individual and group work.
