LaVerne Council Elected Chairman National Board of Trustees, March of Dimes

LaVerne Council is a successful businesswoman who has proved herself as a dynamic person with great leadership skills. Her long career is filled with many achievements and successes. She has worked with many reputed companies and proved herself to be a valuable asset at each of these organizations. Her hard work, dedication and sincerity have been recognized and over the years LaVerne Council has received many awards and honors. One of the recent significant achievements was her being nominated as the National Co-Chair for National March for Babies Campaign of the March for Dimes foundation in 2011.

March of Dimes Foundation is a non profit organization that works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. LaVerne Council has been a long term volunteer for the March of Dimes Foundation. Considering her hard work, sincerity and dedication to work for the cause of ending prematurity and her being a successful businesswoman who is a role model for many women, the organization is elected her as the Chairman of March of Dimes National Board of Trustees. LaVerne Council is only the second woman and the first African- American ever to head the Board of Trustees in the 73 years of the organizations history. She is thrilled to able to help mothers have a safe and healthy delivery.
