LaVerne Council Supports March of Dimes Foundation

LaVerne Council is the Corporate Vice President and the chief information officer of Johnson & Johnson. She has had a long and successful business career in which she has held important positions in various organizations. Prior to Johnson and Johnson, LaVerne Council has worked as the Global Vice President for IT, Global Business Solutions and Development Services for Dell, Inc. Before that, she was a partner at the consulting firm Ernst & Young LLP. At Ernst & Young she led the Global Supply Chain Strategy Practice by focusing on the Hi-tech and Life Sciences accounts.

Besides her work, the other passion in the life of LaVerne Council is working for the cause of preventing prematurity. Her own son, Troy was born prematurely and therefore she understands the gravity of the issue firsthand. She completely supports the March of Dimes Foundation which is a non profit organization that works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. LaVerne Council is a long time volunteer leader of the March of Dimes and she works untiringly to support the cause of the foundation.

The March of Dimes Foundation has its headquarters in White Plains, New York and in total it has 51 chapters spread across the United States. This organization works to provide proper educational resources to mothers and expecting mothers on the topics such as baby health, pregnancy, preconception and new motherhood. This foundation also provides support to the families that are affected by prematurity, birth defects, or other infant health problems. LaVerne Council currently serves as the Chairman of the March of Dimes National Board of Trustees and works for its mission with full dedication.
