LaVerne Council Works Hard for the March of Dimes Foundation Cause

LaVerne Council is a businesswoman who has had a long and successful career during which she has proved herself as a dynamic person with great leadership skills. She is one of the very few people who know what they want in future and in which direction they want their career to go from the very beginning. LaVerne Council always wanted to make her name in the field of business and therefore she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Western Illinois University. She passed from this university with highest honors and then went on to pursue Masters of business Administration from Illinois State University. She went on to achieve what she wanted and today she is highly respected in the corporate circles but besides business LaVerne Council has one more passion and that is working to prevent prematurity.

She actively supports the March of Dimes Foundation which is a non profit organization that works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. LaVerne Council has been a volunteer for this foundation for the last many years and currently serves as the Chairman of the National Board of Trustees for the March of Dimes. Her son Troy was born prematurely and therefore this cause is very near to her heart. She has also visited the White House and spoken to President Obama about the issue of premature birth and the importance of every pregnant women having access to medical care facilities.
