LCPC HOSTS KID UNIQUE WORKSHOP

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 24, 2011 -- On Friday, September 23, La Cañada Presbyterian Church will be hosting a KidUnique workshop presented by nationally acclaimed speaker, mentor, and author, Dan Webster. The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with an optional dinner and social hour. At 7:00 PM, the KidUnique workshop will begin, followed by a book-signing during dessert reception from 8:30-9:00 PM.

Each year, Webster speaks to thousands of parents, teachers, and youth workers across the country about the truths, principles, and practices found in his KidUnique book. Based on the book, the KidUnique workshop equips adults to powerfully impact kids by clarifying the four windows through which to see them—observation, exploration, affirmation, and revelation—and by presenting a simple system for collecting insights that kids will carry into the future. Parents learn how to combat much of the negativity, frustration, and hopelessness that kids often feel due to too many choices in life, but little knowledge of who they truly are.

Every adult will walk away from this experience with: knowledge of how to get and stay closer to the kid you care about, whether six or sixteen; a working knowledge of four-window model that can transform your relationship with your kid; a simple system for gathering core truths about your kid and how to interact with him or her about them; and a 31 day follow-up experience that will help you learn to live as a kidunique adult.

LCPC invites parents, teachers and mentors throughout the Crescenta and San Gabriel valleys to attend this meaningful and timely workshop.
