Lead Singer Camp-Austin, Texas
Lead Singer Camp is a highly-active music workshop held specifically for singers, ages 13 - 17, who want to polish their vocal and performance talents for leading a band, performing in school talent shows, or following their “Idol” dreams.

Lead Singer Camp
A unique new summer camp caters to young singers with big dreams!
Lead Singer Camp will be lead by professional singers, degreed vocal coaches, accomplished musicians, and locally known stage directors. (see bios below)
Lead Singer Camp is unique in that coaches will help young singers discover their own distinct styles so that they can really sing a song the way they feel it. Lead Singer Camp will give young singers the time to become comfortable and courageous with taking center stage and entertaining all kinds of people.
Three summer sessions are available. All will be held during the day, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays.
Session One 3 weeks June 7 – 24 Showcase 6pm, June 25
Session Two 3 weeks July 5 – 22 Showcase 6 pm, July 23
Session Three 2 weeks Aug 2 – 12 Showcase 6pm, August 13

Lead Singer Camp will be held at:
Unity of Austin Community Hall (no religious affiliation)
5501 W. Hwy 290 (at Monterrey Oaks in Southwest Austin)

Showcases will the end of each camp at Jovitas , a popular south side family music and Tex Mex venue at 1619 South First Street.
Lead Singers will name and front their very own band ( from the Lead Singer Camp “house band”)
Camp Leader Adrienne Braswell describes the Camps mission as follows: To create a fun and focused environment where confidence and self-awareness are instilled by building strong vocal, performance and leadership skills, so new singers can grab that mic and take center stage..
Braswell has opened for or performed with Lyle Lovitt, BB King, JJ Kale, Jimmy LaFave and The Smothers Brothers. She may also be a familiar face to many Austin area theatre-goers working with TUNA stars Jaston Willliams and Joe Sears in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Paramount.. She also starred with Austin notable CK McFarland in the long-running hit cabaret show The Cow Pattys in the 1990s, in the Laura Nyro-inspired Soul Picnic at the Scottish Rite Theatre in 2000, and recently sang her own soulful songs for The Living Room, an oral story-telling series that has been running in South Austin since December.
CK McFarland- (Camp Consultant and Guest Artist) has co-starred, co-wrote and directed two shows which appeared at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.. Many of her original musicals and Cabaret projects have toured the country enjoying extended regional theatre runs. CK can
