The advantages of hiring workers with disabilities will be shared at a Minneapolis networking and educational luncheon co-hosted by nonprofit Opportunity Partners and the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce.

Minnetonka, Minnesota, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 12, 2011 -- The advantages of hiring workers with disabilities will be shared with 350 area business leaders at “Celebrate Opportunity—An Executive Networking and Business Recognition Luncheon,” co-hosted by nonprofit Opportunity Partners and the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce.

The event will feature keynote speaker Randy Lewis, Walgreens’ Senior Vice President-Supply Chain Management. Walgreens promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workforce, marketplace and supplier chain, and has a goal to fill 20 percent of its distribution center jobs with people who have disabilities. Lewis will share how the multi-million dollar company benefits in countless ways by seeing the “ability” in everyone.

Opportunity Partners will recognize General Mills, Graco, Lunds and Byerly’s, and Whole Foods Market for advancing work opportunities for people with disabilities. Attendees will enjoy an executive networking session followed by a three-course lunch and an informative presentation emceed by WCCO 4 News anchor Frank Vascellaro.
