Recognize typical symptoms of depression first. They basically are:
1. Bad mood:
a. Lousy
b. Gloomy
c. Depressed
d. Nasty
e. Decadent
f. Nothing cute
g. Boredom at heart
h. All gray
2. There is no traction to the point:

b. No desire for conversations.

If you recognize any symptoms from the list, you do have a depressive mood disorder. This article is based on my own experience and a lot of reading on this matter. Personally I have been there and managed to recognize that I’m having a serious problem which required attention of the specialist.
I’m feeling much better now but still taking medications like “lexapro” and “mirtazapine”. I hope that one day I won’t need it, but maybe not. Some school of thoughts is that depression could be caused by chemical imbalances and in this case you need to take some medicine for your entire life. But what is the alternative? You know the answer.
