Lebanon Church to Offer Free Technical Seminars

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 9, 2009 -- WEST MIFFLIN, Pennsylvania (October 9, 2009) – Lebanon Church, a Presbyterian (U.S.A.) church in West Mifflin, PA is beginning to offer online technical seminars as an outreach ministry to local churches. These seminars will be made available free of charge and cover a variety of topics including audio, video, computers, and Internet.

“Our primary objective with this technical outreach program is to empower local churches with the knowledge necessary to integrate new technologies into their existing ministries,” said Josh Bilsky, web ministry director at Lebanon Church. “More and more churches are starting to realize that technology can be extremely useful to the process of evangelizing, and we want to help them utilize it effectively. Our hope is that by providing this free program, churches will be able to take better advantage of the technology that is available and use it to reach more people in our communities.”

The first of these technical presentations covers the topic of increasing traffic to a church website. Search engine optimization (SEO), the technical term for increasing the quality and volume of traffic to a website, is a critical factor in developing a successful online ministry.

“We felt that a seminar on search engine optimization would be a great place to start because most churches know little about it yet it’s an area that can provide significant benefit for little cost when executed properly,” said Bilsky. “Churches will often spend a great deal of time and financial resources on developing a website just to be disappointed when very few people visit it.
