FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Easter Seals North Texas promotes Lenee Bassham
to Executive Vice President of Development
FORT WORTH, Texas – Lenee Bassham has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Development for Easter Seals North Texas.
Easter Seals locally has been providing services and support to children and adults with disabilities, and to their families, for more than 70 years. Today, Easter Seals is the country’s leading provider of services for people with autism and serves more than 10,000 families in 34 North Texas counties.
“Lenee was an obvious choice,” said President and CEO Monica Prather.
“During her six years here, she has become familiar with every phase of our operation and has stood out especially in assisting development with grants, fundraising and events.”
Bassham joined Easter Seals North Texas in 2004 after having spent six years in the Community Investment Division of the United Way of Tarrant County working with volunteers to distribute funds raised by the campaign to local organizations.
“I came to here on March 15, 2004, 7+ months pregnant, to be the development/marketing department at the time. I did my first Hats Off to Mothers luncheon fundraiser on May 5th, wrote and mailed thank you letters on the 6th and 7th, and had a baby on the 10th. Now I can see how crazy that was!
“The agency, and thankfully, the development department, have grown exponentially since then.”
Bassham earned a Bachelor’s and Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She and her husband, Michael, and two sons live in Haltom City.
