Leslie Keathley joins Thompson and Smith Insurance to lead FARM Alliance in West Tennessee

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 1, 2011 -- Thompson and Smith Insurance welcomes Leslie Keathley to the organization to assist Jim Thompson in introducing their new FARM alliance program. Keathley brings a strong background in agricultural and related insurance products to the group and will be leading the initial development of the FARM alliance. The alliance will be an educational and networking group for farmers that will provide members with access to key industry speakers, industry tools such as the Kiplinger Agriculture report, and networking opportunities at lunch and dinner events.

Keathley is a native of Brownsville, TN. She pursued her degree in Finance and Economics from Union University and spent 9 years working in the banking and finance industry. In 2008, she became a fully licensed insurance agent and is well-known for her dedication and experience in Farm and Crop Insurance. She and her family still reside in Brownsville. Keathley stated “I have a passion for helping those in Agriculture to succeed and the FARM alliance will provide area farmers with additional information and tools to help them grow their profits.”

Thompson & Smith was formed in October 1998, the result of the merger of The Thompson Group and Jackson Risk Services. Jim Thompson, the Chief Executive Officer of Thompson and a native of Trenton, TN, began his insurance career in 1980 by founding Trenton Insurance Center in Trenton, TN. By 1994, he had grown a customer base that included a considerable number of Jackson accounts, so he opened an office in Jackson and changed the name to The Thompson Group.

While the FARM alliance is a new program from Thompson and Smith Insurance to support those in Agriculture in West Tennessee, it will be complemented by a selection of Farm and Crop Insurance products that will help farmers manage their risk.
