FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RECENT PUBLIC STATEMENT BY MISS ADAMS REGARDING HER PERSONAL LIFE:
"People need to look in the mirror and be happy with who they are before pointing the finger at others who live their own lives and tend to their own business as they see fit. I didn't receive fame or recognition when I 'came out'. I received fame and recogniton way before that and from my own merits, which included a successful modeling career (before and after Playboy) as well as being the author of 21 published books. I didn't make my fortune off the gay community, I made my fortune in investments way before (almost two decades ago) when I first started modeling for Elite and Wilhelmina. And the gay community profited off of my "outing" and used it to their benefit more than I used it for myself. My reason for my decisions have always been personal and no one else's business, but I chose to reveal what little I wanted and nothing more. I have and always will show support to the gay community, in spite of the judgemental ignorance of a select few. Remember, you'll never go anywhere in life or in your fight for equality if you judge people for not being gay, as they judge you for being gay. My ethnic background is not 'Black' or 'White', it's a mix. And life is not 'black' and 'white' either. Live your life and be happy with who you are, then you won't turn to celebrities to confirm your own identification. I'm happy with who I am and I (still) live my life with 'Pride'. Be happy with who you are, stop reading about other people's lives, and mind your own business."
PRIOR PRESS RELEASE ELABORATING ON THIS TOPIC:
“Miss November, Now Mrs. November” -- Stephanie Adams decided to become a more private than public figure, but has recently chosen to speak out regarding why she really chose to "come out", as well as why she has and continues to identify herself as straight. By the way, she’s no longer engaged…She’s married.
Stephanie was devastated when the two ladies who raised her, her aunts Pearl and Joyce, were diagnosed the same year with breast cancer. "Pearl's cancer was detected early, so it was treatable. Joyce was another story." After the death of her beloved Aunt Joyce, Stephanie could not help but to think what Joyce went through regarding some very personal decisions she made during the course of her life.
"Joyce was straight most of her life, and was once engaged to marry someone from West Point Military Academy. But after he died and Joyce later fell in love with a surgeon who happened to be female, it caused quite a stir to a few bad apples in our family, causing them to ostracize her and put her down just because of the love she had in her heart – to them – was not right."
Seeing her aunt taunted right up until the days of her death caused Stephanie to want to speak up in some way and defend her aunt's right to love freely.
