Lily of the East Presents “Precious Moments with Mom Photo Contest!”

* Touching and/or funny digital images of “motherly” memories; images that showcase tender moments between mother and child or children in family interactions
* Images may contain individuals other than your biological mother, who represent a “motherly” figure in your life
* Photo may be a posed portrait or a candid shot

What & Where To Submit:

* Entries may be emailed to this designated address: Photocontest@LilyoftheEast.com. The recommended minimum resolution for all entries is 1200 x 800 pixels.
* Photos may be in horizontal or vertical orientation.

* Entries may originate in any format — including, but not limited to digital files, digital prints, color transparencies, color prints, or black and white prints — so long as they are submitted electronically.

* Photo captions must accompany all submissions, and should include the name of contestant/photographer, and location and month/year the image was taken. The caption must explain SUCCINCTLY the story behind your photo submission using words from your heart (500 words or less). In the alternative, you may share the best or most memorable advice your mother ever imparted to you. Make it funny, humorous, or sentimental. Pour into it the love, respect and fondness your Mom deserves. The use of imagination is highly encouraged! (We reserve the right to edit captions in consideration of space and/or appropriateness).
* We will only admit one entry per person. The final discretion for accepting entries rests with Lily of the East staff.

How Entries Will Be Judged:

* All submissions will be reviewed by the Lily of the East staff for adherence to theme. Photos that pass muster will be posted on the official Lily of the East Blog.
* Submission of photos will be accepted until midnight of May 25, 2011 (PST).

* The online community has the opportunity to vote for their favorite entries by clicking on the Facebook LIKE button at the bottom of each Lily of the East Blog entry. Each LIKE will be counted as a point in favor of the corresponding entry. We encourage you to seek the support of your friends to rake in as much points as you can!
* Come May 26, 2011, the voting will close. Even if entries continue to accumulate LIKE votes beyond the set deadline, only clicks cast before May 26 will be counted.
* Internal judges appointed by Lily of the East will examine the top five finalists or those photos that have earned the most votes from the online community. The panel will score the photos based on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit.

* On May 31, 2011, the champion and runners up will be announced. The list of official winners will be posted on the official Lily of the East blog.
* The winners will then be apprised of how they can receive their prize.

Deadline

* Entries may be submitted starting 12:01 am Eastern Standard Time on May 5, 2011. Deadline for submitting entries is 11:59 pm Pacific Standard Time on May 25, 2011.
* Finalists will be announced on or before May 31, 2011. The winners will be announced after a brief deliberation among the Lily of the East panel.
* Lily of the East reserves the right to adjust any deadline(s) as the result of causes beyond its immediate control.
