Limeiwire - LimeWire is a free peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) client for the Java platform, which uses the Gnutella network to locate files as well as share files.
FrostWire - FrostWire is written in Java, and is a fork of LimeWire, another popular Gnutella client. Released under the GNU General Public License, FrostWire is free software.
Differences between LimeWire and FrostWire
1. Search results
Although Limewire’s search speed was slower than Frostwire, it had a lot more search results than Frostwire.
2. Frostwire is bascially a clone of limewire.
FrostWire and other Gnutella variations are here as a result of LimeWire's development.
3. Different download servers.
They access different download servers. Frostwire accesses the Bit Torrent network, while Limewire accesses the Gnutella Network.
4. Versions
LimeWire has two versions, a freeware version and a purchasable "enhanced" version are available. While FrostWire is released only as a free version.
