Linium (www.linium.com), HP Software Specialist partner and HP's 2011 ITSM Implementation Partner of the Year, has been nominated for HP’s Global Partner Conference Philanthropic Award. HP will highlight three partners who have exhibited innovative philanthropic IT practices within their own communities at their upcoming conference February 13 - February 15, 2012 in Las Vegas.

Linium is in the running for this award based on its participation with numerous community efforts including the Thanksgiving Food Drive, Holiday Adopt-a-Family, and Bikes for Charity. Linium’s nomination includes their recent combined team building and bikes for charity event. In this rewarding team building event, Linium teams, armed with wrenches and enthusiasm, raced to construct the ultimate human-powered, no-gasoline-needed rocket: a children’s bicycle. This extraordinary event infused the Linium team conference with energy to create a feeling of immense good will and a sense of meaning, as it can be tough for many impoverished families to afford the cost of food and rent, let alone luxuries like toys and bikes. The final product included a commercial produced by each group and presented in front of the entire group while being judged by a panel. In the end, 12 children from a local Albany area Boys and Girls Club came to take home their new, finished, brightly decorated bicycles.

As part of their ongoing community philanthropic efforts, Linium has also announced the Linium Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive will be renamed Diana's Drive - The Fight for Hunger in memory of the beloved wife of Linium's Vice President of Sales, who recently passed from complications related to Alzheimer’s disease. Each year, Linium employees sponsor this event by collecting food and raising funds that are donated to local food shelters in the Albany New York region during the Thanksgiving holiday. For each pound of food raised by the Linium team as part of Diana's Drive, Linium will donate 1$ to the Alzheimer's Association to help fight Alzheimer's disease through vital research and essential support programs and services.
