A site was set up to share Old Photographs of Liverpool the majority of which are courtesy of 'Liverpool records Office'. Other photographs are from personal collections.

This first began as a 'Facebook' page which indeed still exists https://www.facebook.com/pages/Old-Photographs-Of-Liverpool/117209091700693 but with the constant changes Facebook make to their site and the fact that people need to be Facebook members to view the content I decided it was time for these photographs to have their own site. I started collecting old photographs of Liverpool some years ago and in the early days it was mainly 'Liverpool Records Office' photographs but since then I have bought photographs from market stalls and boot sales and have had photographs sent to me by friends and others who know of my interest.
This City of Liverpool has a wonderful heritage and we are fortunate that some people had the insight to photograph our past. I firmly believe that these old photographs need to be in the public domain for as many people as possible to see, not hoarded away and kept from view.
I will constantly be adding to this site and sincerely hope that it brings pleasure to those who view my 'Liverpool Picturebook'.
