FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 17, 2011 --
For Immediate release: Paul Jenkins a UK Internet Marketer says goodbye to fixed living and extortionate bills and heads to the open roads living in a motor home. Is this a sane thing to do? In the last week of November 2010 Paul Jenkins a Linux guru and Internet marketer leaves his luxury Wanstead flat in East London and moves into a Swift Kontiki Motor home that he purchased the week before off EBay!. Madness you think? Well perhaps not. Its actually a growing trend, The next time you are on the motorway driving for an hour or two count the number of campers / motor homes you see, you'll be surprised and I'm not talking summer here I'm talking winter!
More and more people are moving to a new way of life, and are sick to death of high council rates and extortionate bills like electricity (up again 9% in 2011) Gas (up as well) Water Rates and the TV License. Pay a visit to your local motor home caravan and camping site to see full sites even in winter. With costs of £10 - £17 per night they represent superb value and this price includes unlimited electricity, can you see it now??
Jenkins purchased and older Swift 6 berth motor home for less than £6000 an absolute steal, with shower, toilet , cooker, hob, fridge and freezer it really is home from home. Models vary greatly from small VW style vans to large American RV's, but essentially if you are looking to I’ve in a motor home you will want a minimum of 21 ft in length. As a guide most American RV's are 30FT or more with classic UK market coach built style Motor homes averaging around 24ft long.
Most used motor homes tend to be in excellent condition. Most are low mileage and tend to be used sparingly throughout the year mainly in summer. Common brands seen on our roads are Swift, Hymer, Autotrail. Autosleeper, Dethleffs, Burstner and more.
We asked Jenkins how his first few months went..
"... It’s been fantastic, I've really loved it. Despite the fact that it’s been very snowy and temperatures have been way way below zero it hasn't affected me at all, what people tend to forget is that most motor homes have gas central heating systems and with a small area to heat its warm as toast in minutes, there's even one young couple on my current site with a double decker bus, al kited out like a 3 bedroom house” we also asked Jenkins what kind of costing and expenses was he now experiencing "... Other than the £17.50 I pay nightly for my pitch not a lot, I get full use of the camp sites excellent showers, laundry facilities and beautiful views. My only expense really is food and drink, other than a large gas bottle (£33) which has lasted me very very well indeed, ( having unlimited electricity of cause I can keep my 2kw Electric heater on all day and keep the motor home extremely warm indeed).."
So the next time you are driving around in your car worried about how to pay all those big utility bills, take a glance at the motor home on the other side of the road and see how content the driver looks
