LMC Marketing is getting very excited to have their workforce riding mind controlled bikes.

Imagine your bike was hooked up to your brain and could read your mind....

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 24, 2011 -- After the news that Hitachi are developing a TV that changes channel via mind-control, Toyota have now unveiled the bike that changes gear as you internally wish. Toyota is the first car giant to incorporate into the design of their bicycle a fully-functioning, thought-controlled gear shifter and LMC Marketing cannot wait to get their hands on them.

When you're pedalling along the open road on a bike, sometimes shifting gears can be an effort. That's when Toyota's mind-controlled bike may come in handy. The minimalistic-looking bike, made in conjunction with Saatchi LA, Parlee Cycles and Deeplocal, comes with a built-in smartphone dock, a carbon-fibre frame and a helmet that reads electrical brain activity. As reported in the LA Times, the helmet is stuffed with neurotransmitters which read the brainwaves of the cyclist and send information to a wireless transmitter on the seat allowing riders to shift gears "without using a single one of their appendages”. Think "gear shift," and that command is sent to an iPhone app, which in turn controls the bike and makes it obey your wishes. The Prius X Parlee (PXP) concept bicycle is part of Toyota Prius Projects, which could eventually be a cool incubator for innovative side projects. There are many of our office appliances that we at LMC Marketing would love the technology to expand to, printer – work.

According to wired.com the matte white bike has the look and feel of a slick aero-road bike without looking like it’s from the next century. The PXP was designed for optimal aero-efficiency as the designers spent a lot of time in a wind tunnel at MIT to get its shape just right. The bike, with a lightweight interlocking carbon fibre frame provides a super-comfy ride. It can be tricky, because you’ve got to keep your head clear when riding, the neurotransmitters work off your brain activity, so if your mind is bombarded with shopping lists or daily woes, shifting could be tricky. There aren’t any plans to mass produce the PXP, so you won’t see them at every set of traffic lights anytime soon. But it’s an impressive ride, and the technology really does work.

You may be thinking you already use your mind when you are changing gears because, as if by magic, your hand moves to the shifter. However, LMC Marketing are embracing the technology and the step forward and only hope that the iPhone app that instructs the gear to shift is shared but hopefully sold with caution or World War III could be triggered: battle of the machines.
