LMC Marketing Looks Forward To A Quick Caffeine Fix

December 2, 2011

As official figures revealed unemployment levels amongst UK under 24 year olds had exceeded one million, it is encouraging to hear that some companies continue to thrive and create job opportunities.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 2, 2011 -- After recently expanding into events based promotions, LMC Marketing is enjoying ‘bucking the trend’ and continuing to flourish in an increasingly difficult economic climate. Also this week, Seattle coffee giants Starbucks Corporation announced it plans to add 200 more drive-through stores across the U.K. as well as open another 100 High Street coffee shops in an expansion that will create 5,000 jobs.

Starbucks currently operates more than 700 stores throughout the U.K, including nine alone in Cardiff, home of LMC Marketing. The Seattle-based company released a statement explaining, “Customers want the best coffee wherever they are, rather than just as a high street treat.” The new plan will aim to establish Starbucks as market leader in the U.K. drive-through coffee market. LMC Marketing’s Managing Director Laura McCarter recalled when the first Starbucks drive-through opened back in 2008 in Cardiff before expanding to Blackburn. She commented, “It’s great to see others companies expanding and proving that it’s not all doom and gloom out there.” Kris Engskov, managing director of Starbucks UK & Ireland, believes the expansion plans will particularly benefit the young unemployed as 50% of the chain's coffee shop staff are under 24 years old.

The announcement came in the same week that service sector companies, including pubs chain Marston's, and Hilton hotels revealed they too will be creating thousands of jobs in the U.K. with Prime Minister David Cameron, describing it as a "great boost to the British economy." LMC Marketing heard that Starbucks, which last year opened 35 outlets at Welcome Break roadside locations, would concentrate on increasing the number of drive through locations throughout the U.K. According to Bloomberg.com, Starbucks intends to grow the number of drive-through stores from 9 to over 200, with Euro Garages Ltd. operating about half of them under licence, many in central and northern England.

As experts in Sales & Marketing, LMC Marketing believe the expansion is a guaranteed success citing the U.K’s increasing addiction to caffeine as the perfect platform for a new business opportunity. Laura McCarter, MD at LMC Marketing explained “When you have a customer base that literally craves your products you’re in the driving seat. As
coffee becomes a part of someone’s daily routine, it becomes a ‘need’ instead of a ‘want’ and so you want your products everywhere. This is why we use events based promotions, we’re always in the public eye.”
