In a press release by the Metro Transit, the Minneapolis Mayor, R.T. Rybak said, “The improvements to Marquette and Second avenues make these streets not only the best bus corridor in our region, they also make this pair of streets among the most transit friendly in America.” Metro Transit Council Chair Peter Bell, called the two streets “the crown jewels of the express bus network in our region.”
