Are you getting angry at the way this country is dealing with the economy? Or health care? Or military spending? Or maybe the rampant spread of disease like breast cancer or heart disease? Are you looking for a way to let the US government hear your concerns? Look no further. Lobby Me Pink created by the Breast Health and Healing Foundation is exactly what you need.
Lobby Me Pink is a device that you can install on your smart phone that would allow you to email your lawmakers directly! That’s right. Your message would land right in their inbox. This is a FREE app available for the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry markets.
Any user would be able to send a message directly to members of Congress, chiefs of staff, and health policy advisors. The only thing the user needs to do is type in their zip code and the email addresses will appear, available for sending any type of message. This app also includes the phone numbers and addresses for every representative and senator in Washington. Along with this, the device contains resources to the Breast Health and Healing Foundation, such as the blog and social networking sites.
This device is transforming the way United States citizens are communicating with their lawmakers. Lobby Me Pink is turning every smart phone into a virtual voting booth. “The most effective way to reach your lawmaker is to contact him or her directly,” says Dr. Kathleen T. Ruddy, President of the Breast Health and Healing Foundation. “The email goes directly into the inbox of your senator or congressional representative or his/her chief of staff.”
Anybody can use Lobby Me to send their concerns to their lawmaker, whether their worries are regarding unemployment, education, or health care. Dr. Kathleen Ruddy of the Breast Health and Healing Foundation also urges women to send emails demanding for the funding of a breast cancer vaccine. Today, one in eight women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. Every year, over 400,000 women die from breast cancer worldwide. The mission of the Breast Health and Healing is to discover the specific causes of breast cancer and to use that knowledge to prevent the disease. The surest way to prevent breast cancer is to research into its causes and create a vaccine.
Lobby Me Pink has already been named one of the top six innovations in the fight against breast cancer. The October 2011 issue of Better Homes & Gardens cites the Lobby Me app in the article “Raising Hope: 6 Breakthroughs In The Fight Against Breast Cancer” written by Leslie Pepper. The Lobby Me Pink app is really revolutionizing the fight against breast cancer and the way we communicate with our lawmakers at Capitol Hill.
The Breast Health and Healing Foundation is a tax-exempt nonprofit. The BHHF website can be found here: http://www.breasthealthandhealing.org/. You can contact Dr. Kathleen T. Ruddy by emailing her at: drruddy@breasthealthandhealing.org.
